Gordon was born in 1954 and was educated at Grammar School in the North of England and Trent University in Nottingham. He trained with Grant Thornton in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982, becoming a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in December 1993. He spent a short period as the financial controller of a manufacturing company in the north-east before joining Jackson Fox at the end of 1983.
In 1988,Gordon became a partner in HLB Jackson Fox (Chartered Accountants) which owns Fairway Trust Limited.He has spent his whole professional career in Jersey.
Gordon is the International contact partner for international HLB referred client engagements.Gordon also sits on the HLB International Council.
Gordon is involved in all aspects of the the company's business and has over twenty years experience of dealing with international client affairs.
Gordon is married with a young family so his personal interests are restricted to impersonating cash dispensers, taxi drivers and sports coaches. He occasionally plays golf if it does not interfere with any of the foregoing.
